The production hall of our company is situated in picturesque Kamienica Królewska, around 60 km south – west from Gdańsk airport in northern Poland.
We are producers of wide range of sails even for the smallest yachts up to the biggest offshore racers. We specialize in craftsmanship of both cruising and racing version of sails. The highest quality of our sails comes from rich regatta knowledge and experience of the founder of our company – Mr. Stanislaw Sawko. Established in 1986 while Mr Sawko was still at university, he went on to make his own sails while competing in Polish regattas going to win his first Hornet Championship in 1971 using his own sewn sails. Our sails used in prestigious regattas, attention to detail and perfection reflected in success during many competitions including ones against Prince Harald, King of Norway and Juan Carlos, King of Spain. This knowledge corresponds with highest quality of our sails which are the main motor for sailing boats.
Mr Sawko has many achievements under his belt to which we can name a few: – a dozen of titles as The Polish Champion – wining of qualification to the Olympics Games in Los Angeles in 1984; unfortunately it was boycotted for the political reasons by the eastern countries during communist leadership – three titles as The World Champion in Micro Class – taking part in the first Professional Sailing Team Gemini – Big Bank racer in Polish history – being the helmsman and tactician of MK Café one tonner yacht in years 1990 -1995, including winning the international, prestige regatta – Kiel Week and Flensburg Week.
Ocean Sails products sail across seas and oceans all over the world, even in ice of Antarctic providing satisfaction for our clients. We send our sails to the European countries as well as to the USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Russia and over the Ural lake district too. Solid taking part in sailing regatta in our country and abroad provides us with continuous confrontation with all the best companies all over the world which helps us to stay up to date with the best techniques and best quality materials we use.
Our sails are all computer designed, cutting made using highest technology laser and hand-finished in house allowing to achieve world quality standards.
Appreciating the sailing as a learning curve for young sailors we are sponsors of several sailing events in our local school sport Club UKS Wiking in Kamienica Królewska where children as young as six years old start their journey of adventure, resilience and excitement.
